High cortisol in dogs can lead to Cushing’s syndrome(CS),symmetrical hair shedding, abnormal appetite, abdominal enlargement and polydipsia and polyuria.
Low cortisol can lead to Addison's disease in dogs with decreased appetite, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, limb weakness, weight loss, irregular heartbeat, and skeletal muscle tremor.
